About İlknur Karakeçili
I graduated in Psychology from Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania in 2019. Then I completed a clinical internship at Johannesbad Fachklinik Hochsauerland in Germany.
Between 2020 and 2025, I worked as a Psychologist with the Migration Management Institution and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). During this time, I gained extensive field experience working with trauma survivors, victims of human trafficking, and adults and children with special needs, conducting individual, family, and group sessions with people from diverse countries and backgrounds.
Currently, I provide psychological counseling for children and adolescents (aged 4 to 20) and parents in both Turkish and English at my office in Şanlıurfa, Turkey, and online. I also work with kindergartens. I use Gestalt Play Therapy (or Violet Oaklander Model) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches in my work.
I aim to provide a safe and confidental environment and I seek to contact to children and adolescents of all cultures and identities with openness and respect.
If you think that we might be able to work together, please do not hesitate to contact me through the ‘Iletişim’ tab.
